FAQs
WHAT IS PLASMA RICH FIBRIN MATRIX?
So PRP is blood plasma with concentrated platelets. Platelets contain growth factors and these growth factors are very important in healing of injuries. PRFM is then processed from PRP with the use of calcium chloride. This fibrin matrix acts as a scaffold to hold on the platelets at the site of treatment.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Draw Blood (about 18 ml)
Load blood into a centrifuge to separate platelets
Inject into injured area
WHAT CONDITIONS ARE TREATED WITH PRFM?
-Plantar Fasciitis -Chronic Foot Pain
-Achilles tendonitis -Non-healing fractures
-Sports Injuries -Wound healing
-Arthritis -Ankle Pain
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME?
Every patient heals differently. You can return to work the next day. You might need to wear a boot for 1-2 weeks depending on pain level.
HOW MANY INJECTIONS WILL I NEED?
Typically 1-2 injections about 6-8 weeks apart, varies patient to patient.
COST
$700 for single PRFM injection.
benefits: nonsurgical intervention, no anesthesia, no stitches, back into a sneaker faster
